General Meeting InformationPortland ARS chapter meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, September through May. Meetings are held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4033 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, Oregon. The location is one-half mile east of Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. Meetings begin with an informal social half-hour starting at 7:00 PM. There is short business meeting at 7:30 PM, followed by our featured presentation. |

Presentation by Mike and Maria Stewart: Mike and Maria acquainted us with a variety of eastern azalea species, many of which they grow at Dover Nursery. Their knowledge of eastern azaleas was recently enhanced by a trip to Tennessee and North Carolina, an experience they shared with us. Educational Program: Dick Cavender taught us how to battle moles in our gardens. |

Presentation by Kristi O'Donnell of Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens: She revealed exciting improvements at Meerkerk Gardens, including their volunteerism programs and educational programs for children. Kristi bolstered her inspirational talk with fascinating and beautiful slides of the garden. |
